GPS Trackers Are Supposed To Be This Stable

09/25/2017

“GPS Trackers are supposed to be this stable” is not just a slogan, but a faith of ATrack Technology Inc. As a world-class designer and manufacturer of GPS telematics products, we know stable products are not only a foundation of a company, but also an essential element that will help our clients to succeed in the market. Therefore, we conduct numerous reliability test items to ensure our products remain high quality and outstanding stability.

Reliability test includes various test items, such as vibration test, mechanical shock, drop test, thermal cycling shock, temperature and humidity test, ingress protection rating test and so on. We take into consideration of whole product cycle from the beginning to the end, and select important test items for assuring product stability during the product cycle. Taking our AL7 GPS tracker for example, ATrack’s customers are worldwide, and AL7 may ship from Taiwan to several countries via land, sea or air transportations. Therefore, AL7 has to pass the high temperature storage (HTS), low temperature storage (LTS), vibration test (random wave) and drop test in order to prevent AL7 from being damaged through harmful storage conditions or transport processes. AL7 is usually applied on motorcycle and light vehicle, which means the trackers are often installed in an outdoor environment. So AL7 is verified by temperature humidity bias (THB), thermal shock test (TST). In addition, while motorcycle/vehicle is operational, the surrounding environment could be extremely high or low, so AL7 is a qualified high/low temperature resistance product that certified by the high temperature operation test (HTO) and low temperature operation test (LTO). Furthermore, the motorcycle/vehicle may be driven on rugged roads, so the shock test is also applied to the AL7.

ATrack invests a lot of time and budget in reliability testing, which not only to ensure our products are able to sustain in poor
conditions, but also help us develop rigid and durable products. In addition, it can help our customers to win the markets using reliable products and achieve our belief of “GPS trackers are supposed to be this stable”.
