[Square GPS] ATrack makes OBD data easy to get with their new accessories

09/06/2017

ATrack presented new accessories with built-in OBDII/J1939 data reading capability – in order to complement their hardwired devices with easy access to OBD data. That means the user does not only enjoy the benefit of hardwired devices’ expandibility with connection to multiple I/O, but also has the advantages of OBDII plug & play GPS Tracker by acquiring CANbus data with easy plug & play installation.

They can be used with all ATrack hardwired units to read CAN data via RS232 interface and also have larger batteries back up in comparison with OBDII devices for longer device standby in case of main power loss.

New accessories allow you to connect multiple sensors, such as SOS button, iButton tag & reader, and temperature sensors etc., using the existing I/O port from the hardwired devices. The AC1R can be directly connected to devices’ serial port. In the case of multiple accessories require the use of serial port, you may add a RS1 cable and connect to AC1P, with 9-pin connector. Alongside the benefits of hardwired type device, you can now retrieve CAN data with ATrack vehicle diagnostic tool thus enjoying a combined benefit from two types of devices – hardwired and plug & play.
